Success is Just One Wish Away

| Although this book is seemingly about a completely unrelated topic, I absolutely think it's a must read for project managers. If you read between the lines, you'll see that it's really about how to successfully implement continuous improvement (think retrospectives and kaizen). The key message is focusing and not trying to improve too much at once. Written in a style of a novel, it's an easy read for a couple of hours. |

The Goal
This book is a must read for agile project managers. It's a business novel about a manufacturing plant - so what does that have to do with software development? This book is about the Theory of Constraints, which is at the heart of Lean. It explains the underlying principles of why and how approaches such as Scrum and to even higher degree, Kanban work. And being written in a style of a novel, it's a very easy read. If you love this book, check out some other books by the same author, such as It's Not Luck: Author of The Goal |
