Clean Code
| I
loved this book. It probably won't be as useful to beginners - you
must have had bad maintenance experiences to truly appreciate it.
However, if you've been developing for a while, you'll definitely pick
up some good pointers.

The Pragmatic Programmer
| This
books should be required reading for any software developer. I read it
when it first came out and have recommended it to countless people
since then.

Applying UML and Patterns
| I
read an earlier edition of this book years ago and found it absolutely
excellent for architects and designers. This edition has been updated
to include Agile modeling.
